Best of 2011: a Hip Hop mix by ulix

My dear friends, after I didn't do one last year (because I listened to too much Soul & Funk) for 2010, I recently finished my Best of 2011 Hip Hop mix.

And here it is.

Let me just say that 2011 was an exceptionally good year for underground and indie Hip Hop.

On this mix you'll almost exclusively find US rappers, but also some dudes from other English-language countries. Only two female rap parts this time...

Mostly Boombap straight from the underground.

Should have something for every Hip Hop lover, from melodic, organic instrumentals to hardcore, dirty and raw ones. From slow and articulated storytelling to razorsharp rhymes and flows.

And obviously all the tracks (or at least the LPs I took them from) were released in 2011.
